“So lately I’ve been obsessed with two things, old paintings like Michaelangelo styled ones, the ones that you’d see in museums and nudity; but nudity in the sense of art. Like when I look at the body whether it be a man or woman I think at the core before we even sexualize it, it’s really just beautiful. Like…how Adam and Even didn’t have clothes before sin came in? That kinda vibe. So I wanted to try something really different in my shoot and present those two ideas. I wanted to highlight the body and not even focus on the face as I would usually do and show the intimacy and beauty in two souls.”
Directed and curated by Naomi, this shoot took me out of my style that tends to usually highlight saturated colors and bright themes in order to showcase imagery reminiscent of the renaissance era. Throughout the process we were able to illustrate the innate beauty of the human form in its most natural expressions.
